Thinking About Switching to Omarchy — Is It Worth It?

Lately, I’ve been hearing about Omarchy, the workspace designed around using the keyboard as much as possible, minimizing the need for a mouse. As someone who’s always curious about more efficient ways to work this really caught my eye.

But here’s my question... is it worth the switch? or is it just another hype tool that’ll fade away? The idea of navigating an entire OS without reaching for the mouse sounds appealing but I can’t help but wonder about the learning curve. How much time and effort does it really take to become productive?

If you’ve tried Omarchy, I’d love to hear your take. Did it actually boost your workflow? or did it end up being more trouble than it’s worth?

Hi
I installed it around 2 days ago and have been using it since then.
I think it really depends on your knowledge of linux and how much time it takes to change the configuration you don't really like. Personally, these past two days I've been constantly changing or searching for these configs, and right now I can say that it's enjoyable to use. As a long-time Gnome user, Hyprland is something else entirely, I'm still learning the keybindings, and I'm not as fast and productive as I wanna be (so I still don't think it has improved my workflow that much), but I feel this is worth the grind because I've learned so many new things, and man, I love the animations.
I also printed the keybindings and put them in front of me, so whenever I forget them I can take a peek lol :)
Overall, I think if you are already an experienced user then it's worth the switch.
