From a Thesis on Stuttering to Companies on Two Continents

I landed in the United States in August 2022 with one plan: get the master's, get the job, build the life. Four years later I have the degree, the job, two companies, and seven publications. None of it happened in the order I expected.

I came for a Master of Science in Computer and Information Sciences at Oklahoma State University, which I finished in May 2024. My thesis, supervised by Dr. J. Cecil and Dr. John Tetnowski, investigated the impact of virtual reality-based interactions among stutterers and non-stutterers: could people who stutter practice real conversations inside virtual environments and get measurably better at them? The work, with a VR environment called Bob's Burger Palace, showed something I still think about: given a patient, judgment free room, people do not just practice a skill. They become braver about using it in the real world. That thesis is on ProQuest, and the research around it went to IEEE SeGAH, where it won a best poster award, and to ASHA, twice.

While the degree was still warm I added an MBA in Entrepreneurship at KL University, the school where I had done my BTech. People asked why a software engineer needed business school. The honest answer is that I already knew the next thing I built would not be for an employer.

That thing became RamTech Solutions LLC, founded in October 2025 in Oklahoma, and then TenTwo Technologies, registered in India in February 2026. RamTech builds websites and platforms for American businesses. TenTwo is its Indian sibling: software services, an internship program that has trained students in Python, AI, and full stack development, and Tuberose & Co., a small brand finding its feet on Amazon India. In July 2026 I also joined Argencis Medical in Oklahoma City as an IT support specialist, partly for the income, partly because I learn fastest inside a working business.

The project that ties the two halves together is FluentLoop. It takes the thesis out of the headset and puts it in a browser: people who stutter can practice real speech, get AI feedback, and track their progress without special hardware. Research made me careful; business is teaching me to ship.

In June 2027 I am moving back to India, to Kaikaluru, Andhra Pradesh, to run TenTwo from home ground. I arrived in America with a suitcase and a plan that did not survive contact with reality. What replaced it is better: two companies, a body of research I am proud of, and a clear idea of what the next decade is for.

Going from a thesis to a company is a path I don't see written up often. What was the hardest part of running teams on two continents, time zones or hiring?

Enjoyed this. Starting from a real research problem instead of a market slide shows in how the companies turned out. How did you find your first paying customers on the second continent?
