Udemy has become flooded with AI courses, which makes finding a good one surprisingly difficult.
After trying several of them, one comprehensive bootcamp stood out because it balanced accessibility with practical implementation.
It introduces prompt engineering, OpenAI APIs, embeddings, vector databases, and simple AI applications without assuming extensive prior experience. If you're completely new to the field, it's one of the easier ways to get started.
The biggest advantage is value. During Udemy's frequent sales, the course becomes one of the least expensive introductions to modern Generative AI.
The trade-off is depth.
Because the course tries to cover nearly every major topic, advanced subjects such as production deployment, evaluation pipelines, and AI agents receive much less attention than dedicated courses.
4. Coursera β Generative AI Specialization
Coursera takes a much more academic approach.
Instead of immediately jumping into building applications, the specialization spends time developing a strong understanding of the concepts behind modern AI systems.
If you enjoy structured learning with quizzes, assessments, and clearly organized modules, this style works extremely well.
I especially appreciated the coverage of transformer models, responsible AI, foundation models, and the broader Generative AI ecosystem.
The only downside is that large academic programs sometimes update more slowly than the AI industry itself. The fundamentals remain excellent, but I occasionally found myself supplementing the material with newer resources.
3. DeepLearning.AI
