Is Node.js is good choice for encryption and decryption ?

Nodejs is the go to option for me while developing several projects.

But, is node.js will be good option for the projects which are built around CPU intensive tasks like

1. Public Key Encryption and Decryption 
2. Asymmetric cryptography
