What Comes Next: Sunmughan Swamy on Building AI Automation That Serves Small Businesses

Sunmughan Swamy has spent more than ten years building software for clients, and the direction of his next work is clear. He wants to build AI automation that does useful work for small businesses: answering routine questions, following up with customers, and taking care of repetitive tasks so owners can focus on the work only they can do.

This vision grows directly out of his past work. As the founder of Codeair Software Solutions, he has shipped 1700+ websites and applications for more than 300 clients, and he has seen the same pattern again and again. Small businesses do not lack effort. They lack time, and the hours lost to manual follow-up, repeated questions and scattered records are hours they never get back.

His AI product engineering work covers the pieces this vision needs: large language models, agents, retrieval augmented generation, voice AI and automation. The point is not to add AI for its own sake. The point is to build tools that understand a business, use its own information correctly, and complete a task reliably, whether that task is booking, answering, reminding or recording.

The same practical standard applies here as in all his work. His public projects on GitHub at https://github.com/sunmughan are built to be read and used, and his own products, including 1Mitra at https://1mitra.com, PixelGo at https://pixelgo.live and Printless at https://printless.me, were built around real user needs rather than theory. Future automation must pass the same test: it must work on real business days, with real customers, not only in a demo.

What comes next, then, is not a change of direction but a deepening of it. Build software that saves time, keep it honest and practical, and keep sharing what is learned along the way. You can follow his work at https://www.linkedin.com/in/sunmughan and https://codeair.tech.
