Every category has them: the "X alternative" pages, written to catch a rival's search traffic. Most are fiction with a logo wall — invented weaknesses, screenshots from 2022, comparison tables where the home team wins every row including the ones it plainly loses. Merchants read two of those and learn to trust none of them, which poisons the format for the vendors who write them straight.
The honest version is harder and simpler. Name what the competitor genuinely does well — they have a decade of something you have a year of; say it. Compare on the axes where the difference is structural and checkable: pricing model, who conducts the retries, what the customer sees. Date your claims and correct them in public when the market moves. A merchant who catches you being fair about a rival has learned the only thing the page was ever really for.
Our own attempt is the Churn Buster alternative page: flat fee against percentage-of-recovery, conductor against add-on, one save offer against the exit maze — argued on mechanics, not adjectives. Swipe Again is six weeks old next to their twelve years, and the page says so. Honesty is a slower pitch. It is also the only one that survives the reader's second visit.
