The company, which currently employs AI for tasks like photo enhancement and text autocorrection, is now investing approximately $1 billion annually to advance its generative AI technologies.

Apple has internally developed a chatbot called Apple GPT and an expansive language model (LLM) framework named Ajax, though they haven't been integrated into Apple products as of yet.
