Hello community! I'm here to meet cool peeps, research interesting topics, and mix up the daily grind of job-seeking. Give me a holler if you want to talk anything game dev, web dev, React, C#, or movies. Also I can talk for hours about what makes a real Philly Cheesesteak.

Welcome to DEV community

[Miguel Ávila]

Hey World 👋! I've read about this community and I really wanted to give a try! I love to work on Open Source projects and I'm really interested in DevOps, Web Development and HCI! Nice to meet you all!

[Stephan Nijman]

Welcome Miguel.

What Os projects do you like working on?

Cheers!

[Miguel Ávila]

Hey! I'm working on my own Os projects as a Startpage, a FirefoxCSS theme. But I'm looking to contribute in other kind of projects. I know frontend Technologies.

[Stephan Nijman]

Nice. Really cool that you are interested in opensource. I am personaly very bad at working on os projects so i have much respect for the people who work on them! 😊

Welcome to DEV!

Bonsoir

[Megan Paffrath]

Hi all! I am a soon to be college graduate passionate about full stack development. I thought this would be a fun platform to connect with others that have similar goals as well as to stay up to date about technological advancements!

[Stephan Nijman]

Hi Megan! Welcome to Dev! Whats your stack of choice?

[Megan Paffrath]

I've explored a few different technologies and I feel like I am gravitating more towards MERN. I try to remain flexible and always learn new things though :D How about yourself?

[Stephan Nijman]

Cool. So mostly js? Professionaly i work on a lot of wordpress stuff with html, css, js/react and php. But besides that i use whatever gets the job done! 😊 Are you a dev for a living yet? Or are you still learning?

[Megan Paffrath]

Mostly js, yeah. I am currently applying for jobs because I am graduating very soon.

I have done a freelance job before and might do some more freelance for a bit to get by and learn more depending on how long the job search goes. Covid changed things up a bit, so I have to stay flexible.

[Stephan Nijman]

Covid is making things a bit more difficult for sure. But who knows your freelance gig will be very succesfull, and you wont need to find a job. I did it for a couple of years myself, and it was a really nice way to make a living! 😊

[Alonso Aguayo]

Hey there Megan! Greetings from another Full Stack Dev aficionado! Great to be part of this community.

[Varun S]

Hi there! I'm Varun, a high school student with a great passion for computer science. I've been coding for 5 years now with React, Android, REST, HTML, CSS, and Node in my toolbox and I came to dev.to so I could start tech blogging. I'm excited to meet new people on here as well!

[Stephan Nijman]

Welcome Varun,

You picked a great olace to start blogging! 😊 What are you planning to write about?

[Varun S]

Thank you! I think I'll start with writing about my experiences with coding projects, as I have no mentor and am self-taught (like lots of people). There's a lot of stuff that other people can do or not do that I didn't know, so that's what I hope to give from my blog posts.

[Stephan Nijman]

Cool. I think lots of people are interested in that kind of posts. I wrote a post with my tips on learnig to code recently that quite a lot of people seem to like. So i’m curious about your writings! 😊

[Megan Paffrath]

Hi Varun, welcome to the community! It is awesome that you found something you are passionate about so early on in life!

[Anne McKendry]

Hi everyone! I've finished coding bootcamp and got a few months experience under my belt but you're going to find me lurking on the #React and #UX boards. If anyone knows of any good sources to learn more about UX please let me know! Thanks :)

[Megan Paffrath]

Hi Anne, welcome to the community! I love React and would also love to learn about UX design eventually.

[abmercy035]

Cool I also what to learn react

[MWLNKA]

Me too

[TBurton]

Hi!

[Harshad Naik]

Hey there 👋! I am a intermediate beginner in front-end technologies like JavaScript and React on a continuous path of learning and a lover of philosophy and psychology .I joined DEV.to to start blogging through which I could share and help people in the community .

[Akhil Siby]

Finally I have found community of my own species 😉

Hello world ! I am here to learn more about Android Java/Kotlin and also to share about a free gradle plugin we have created. The goal is to obfuscate and store secret keys in the NDK for any Android app : github.com/klaxit/hidden-secrets-g...

[Alexandre Gomes]

Bonjour :) and welcome!
