Hi everyone! 👋🏼 I've been thinking about going back to personal blogging for a long time, and I was really looking forward to getting started in Dev.to. Thrilled to be part of this community!
I'm Juan Luis (he/him), currently working as Developer Advocate for Kedro, an opinionated open source data science framework, and before that I've worked as developer advocate, trainer, developer, consultant... always with Python technology. The Python community has been a huge part of who I am professionally and personally, and I've been lucky to travel around the world attending and speaking at Python events.
I'll be blogging occasionally here about documentation tools, developer advocacy, the Python community... usually mixed with topics that attract me a lot like decentralized social communities, future of work, the solidarity economy, cooperatives, and more. Check out my first blog post about Futuristic documentation systems in Python.
Cheers 🍻
Great to have you Juan Luis!

Hi folks, I'm a Director of DevRelations & Ops at bytewax, a small OSS driven startup, our mission is to make python native data streaming more accessible. I love creating strong developer communities and empowering developers to build amazing things. I firmly believe that community is the lifeblood of businesses, especially if it's SaaS or built around OSS.
Even outside of my work, I am passionate about creating more equitable and inclusive communities. So I devote time to studying sustainable urbanism and exploring how technology can help shape better neighborhoods. It is my belief that building equitable and prosperous communities is critical to improving people's lives.
So I'm looking forward to connect with data folks, devrels and all others interested in data streaming + python + communities and urbanism, of course :)
Hey, welcome!

Hello everyone! 👋🏼 My name is Ozan Tanaydin (He/him). And I am so happy to finally join here as a content creator instead of reading all day long. Now it's time to help the community that helped me a lot.
I am currently a student in management information systems. I really love computers and what they do but I am currently passionate about cyber security, offensive security,back-end web development, secure software development and web security I know this is quite much. What can I say I love computers.
Beside from school currently I am learning about python and I already did some crazy thing with it(I will talk about those on my blogs). And there is tons of things I want to learn. But my close time goal is start to work as back-end developer.
So why I am here? Since I told that I am still in learning process and I wanted to take a big steps in my career. So I would like to share my story to document my story, help new developers to learn and get motivated and senior developers to guide me. I hope with this community I will be able to do more than I could ever imagine. So feel free to write me from my twitter.com/OzanTanaydin or from mastodon.social/@r00tk1t.

Hey there, developers! 👋
I'm excited to join this community and connect with other software developers. My name is Imtiaz and I'm a Full Stack Software Developer. I'm passionate about creating robust and efficient software solutions that solve real-world problems.
As someone who transitioned from Network Engineering to Software Development, I've experienced first-hand the challenges and rewards of learning a new skill set. Have any of you made a similar career transition? What advice would you give to someone just starting out?
I started my journey with Python and Django, and later expanded my skills to include JavaScript and the React stack. But as we all know, technology is constantly evolving, and there are always new frameworks and tools to learn. What are some emerging technologies or frameworks that you're excited about?
Welcome Imtiaz! 👋
You've got a headstart on us then! I came from a desk job, learning first of backend and frameworks in it (Java and PHP) in my spare time. Later on I picked up JavaScript (ReactJS) and CSS. But I do feel that the technologies evolve pretty fast, so I mainly focus on the backend now. Which suits me just fine. I love the open source community, and I'm a big fan of Symfony!
Hi everyone! My name is Matiyas Birhane and I'm excited to be a part of the dev.to community. I'm a Software Engineer with 3+ years of experience in Software development. I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you and contributing to the community!"
Hey, welcome to dev! hope you have a great time here!
Hi I'm Niko... I say sorry for my English like introduction. Looks like a good community, it's my impression that is necessary to plus efforts in particular task like socials ones, and we as developers has a bit responsibility with the other part of the humanity and the animals and plants that coexist in this ship that is traveling around the universe...
Results a little weird that exiting too many people in the world that has knowledge in many areas and all we are running for make money to survey, so...
Something goes wrong if we can find a way to grow as society...
I think is interesting about how every day is build another app to sold something or distract the people of real problems or control or monitorization them activities... but we can´t see a lot of efforts in a way to create the technology and the channels to allow the people to become master of the process that are related with them environment and the proyects or activities that affects their lifes in to many ways...
So I was thinking why don´t build and app that allow the people to vote for projects and sugest alternatives, make denuncies or say how the capital of a Country or an Estate, a comunity will be distributed and don't be sugested or predestinested to accept what some people(a few group) decide from a Goberment or lobby...
So I write a project about it... you can translated is you want with google translator or GPT but I leve you the link..
By the way I create de site, but I do not have the time to improve it, so is not responsive yet. You have to see it in a pc for abetter performance, but I think you will enjoyed cause has some histores too, and goods image from some artist, and a little animation in JS that I make for fun...
peaceful-donut-a4f128.netlify.app/...
peaceful-donut-a4f128.netlify.app
the first link redirec directly to the project or the idea, so thats it... Hi every one. I hope you enjoy it.

I'm finally getting somewhat serious and taking some online courses in Full Stack Developing. I am learning while working and being a dad. I've completed half of my course and am now currently learning backend dev (express, etc...). I hope to possibly make some friends and learn as much as those friends will teach.

Hello everyone! I'm Xenon Santillan (he/him), a recent coding bootcamp graduate looking to expand my knowledge about coding and grow my career! I'm looking forward to being a part of this community!
I started coding in High School and although my path to where I'm at currently wasn't the best, I'm proud of what I've achieved so far and I hope to learn more. I'm fairly new to coding Full Stack Web applications but I'm excited to share my thought process in my blogs.
I'll be blogging about projects I'm currently working on, maybe some open source projects, and more! My main language currently is JavaScript, but I am open to learning others in due time. I am looking forward to connecting sometime!
Hi everyone, I'm Jorge Brunal Pérez (A.K.A. Diniremix), I currently have a web site and although I have not been very active, for some time I have been writing to keep notes on programming languages, tools, readings and a little more, for the future. The content of the site, emphasizes the Latin American Spanish language, so we use many regionalisms to refer to various topics, and try to explain concepts.
I have been reading many posts from this community for a long time and I have decided to migrate everything I have written (not much actually) to dev.to.
I don't speak any other language (only spanish) so I'm making an effort to learn english, and italian.
As for what I like I work with Python, Qt, Bash and Javascript, a little bit of Rust, and yes, a lot of Gnu/Linux, as well as any related technology.
I'm currently working as a Project Leader at Serviformación, developing GIS solutions (mainly on GCP).
Initially I will be migrating the content of the blog and from time to time I will write here about tools and things I like to learn and develop.
Cheers!
Hello! I've been learning how to code for about a year now. I'm trying to take that next step into web development by getting comfortable with blogging and exposing myself to new techniques in the tech world.
I'm Caleb Whittaker. I currently work as a Lab Technician at a local chemical facility to help with the quality control of their epoxy samples. I don't know if this is common for people to join this community and never have a proper job in tech or have never gone to school for computer science but I'll admit, it can be a bit intimidating at times.
I went to college for biochemistry and graduated in May of 2022. I was planning on pursuing research in oncology; however, I quickly found that it wasn't the life I wanted for myself. During my last year in college, I was exposed to Python for the first time and it was difficult at first to wrap my head around the novel concepts, but the more I practiced, the more exciting it became to learn the next one.
I started to learn front end web development as a way to help my girlfriend build her first website for her business, and similarly to my experience with Python, I fell in love with the process of making websites. It was almost magical to be able to type some code and show the end product to my friends and family.
I'm not sure what I'm going to blog about yet, but I have a feeling that I'll find some inspiration soon enough and when I do, I hope to see you there!
Hi everyone!
I am Kshitij Mohan, an IT engineer turned entrepreneur, I have been building startups and leading teams for around 8 years now. While working with and managing various teams, I always felt that I am not able to exactly understand or quantify my team's productivity and maintain good practices, specially within the development team. So, I started working on this ideas which was based on a problem that we all face with our teams on a day to day basis, and now, my team and I are creating something powerful to enable to improve dev efficiency & ship better, faster products. I'll be happy to hear out your views on this.
Really looking forward to connecting with you all, learn, discuss and grow 🚀
Also, please do recommend some threads!

Hello everyone! I am Asier, a computer engineer passionate about tech. I am working in a startup related with energy efficiency in the residential sector. Due to that, I have dealt with many technologies but also roles. I started as a programmer and have been growing to positions with more responsibilities.
Moreover, I am fascinated by AI. Recent advances have made what was once science fiction a reality. As a result, I would like to give a bit back to the world and I am building a job board for top artificial intelligence positions. I really hope that this technology would be able to make our lives easier. Humanity needs it.
Hello world, I'm new at DEV.
It is me, Taimen. At the moment of writing this I'm just checking if a page at DEV will work for me.
My intention is twofold:
1) I'm looking for a place to record the set-up steps of a number of my (sub)projects in case I have to reinstall them. (Yes it happens to me too ;-p)
2) Now that I’m working on it… maybe it’s also interesting for others and they can use the same descriptions. So I would like to publish the tutorials.
Maybe DEV is just the place for this.
I’m from Holland. Nevertheless, I will try to fill these pages in as correct English as possible.
Hello everyone,

Greetings! My name is Eric and I was trained as an aerospace/mechanical engineer, but find I enjoy the practicality of developing applications for unique situations. During the first day of my freshman year in college, I was so intimidated by the C/C++ instructor that I dropped the course until the spring semester. Later, I came to slowly appreciate C then later VBA in Excel. Nearly twenty years later, I can’t imagine not having the ability to automate tasks using these programming languages.
I came to this site after seeing a post about C#/dotnet on Twitter. While I work as a hobby programmer/engineer, it is a growing passion as I seek to engage others doing the same thing here. For more on my interests, see ejcontrolsystems.com or follow me on Twitter @ej_systems.

I was hired for my first paid development job at 15 in 2005. Before Agile Project Management was a thing (my first 3 jobs didn't use it at least). I contracted for most of it and have racked up an employment count of a dozen or so companies from startups to Fortune 100 companies to local government, from GIS to pharmaceuticals to real estate to fleet tracking to blockchain. I've won national programming competitions and made trivial errors in coding challenges when applying to jobs. I've saved the day when systems broke at 2am and I've dropped prod DB tables. C/C++, Java, Asp.Net, old school Javascript (remember jQuery?), new school Typescript (Angular, Svelte, etc), Go, Solidity.
I've been professionally developing software more than half of my life, 18 years next month. I think it's passed time I start sharing my experiences.
Hi everyone! I am Abdessittir, and I am a full-stack engineer who specializes in using JavaScript, React.js, Express.js, and Next.js.
