Overview
Another year has ended and today I want to tell you briefly how it went, without boring you too much.
In this short recap article Iβll tell you about my 2024 in open source, the impact it had on me and some projects that I have in store for this year.
Let's start! π€
2024: top or flop? π«£
The answer to this question is: it depends.
What does it depend on? Depends on which point of view we want to see things π₯Έ
There are two points that I think are important to analyze:
- Achievements
- Self-improvement
At the beginning of 2024 I set myself many goals, too many.
I managed to reach some of them, but not many compared to the ones set. Does this mean that I failed?
Absolutely not! π
I have focused mainly on the most important ones, including having a greater impact in the Open Source community π
According to my GitHub Unwrapped, this year I had fourteen accepted Pull Requests! π
Not bad compared to last year, Iβm very satisfied: it means that I am able to contribute to the cause!
In addition, I have opened several bug reports and idea for new features, in software/projects that I use daily π¨
Open issues also means contributing π₯
...and 2025? π«
It will be an important year, I will pick up where I left off in 2024 and go even further.
I have several ideas and projects in mind, but I want to go slow and especially focus on one at a time πͺ
At the moment, in the conclusion phase, there is the series "Basic concepts of Astro", that is very much like β‘οΈ
Next, Iβm working on a small project with Uno Platform to test a new feature in beta (I was chosen as a beta tester, but Iβll talk about it later).
If you donβt know what is Uno Platform, I recommend you to read this article where mentioned it.
Conclusion
In conclusion, my 2024 was a satisfactory year, which I hope to replicate and even surpass in this 2025.
And now...
Happy coding!β¨
