LinkedIn Sales Navigator Costs $99/Month. I Built the Same Pipeline for $5.

Sales teams are paying $99-$165/month per seat for LinkedIn Sales Navigator. Here is what you actually get vs. what you can build for $5/month using Apify.

What Sales Navigator Gives You

  • Advanced lead search (industry, seniority, company size)

That is it. You are paying for a search interface.

What I Built Instead

A LinkedIn job posting tracker that monitors target companies and alerts me when they post roles that signal buying intent.

Tech stack:

  • Apify LinkedIn Job Scraper (PAY_PER_RESULT, ~$0.003/result)
  • n8n to orchestrate scheduling
  • Google Sheets to store leads
  • Telegram for alerts

Total monthly cost: $3-5 for 1,000-2,000 job postings monitored

The Trigger Logic That Beats Sales Nav

Sales Navigator shows you leads. My system shows me buying signals.

When a company posts for:

  • "Head of Data Infrastructure" -> they are scaling, need data tools
  • "VP of Sales Operations" -> they are building out GTM, need CRM/automation
  • "Senior Cloud Architect" -> they are migrating, evaluating vendors

These signals tell you WHEN to reach out, not just WHO to reach out to.

The Build (Step by Step)

Step 1: Run LinkedIn Job Scraper on Apify

Go to apify.com and search for LinkedIn Jobs Scraper. Configure with your target company domains.

Step 2: Pipe Results to n8n

Set up a scheduled n8n workflow (runs daily at 7am):

  1. Trigger: Schedule every day
  2. HTTP Request node calls Apify API to pull yesterday's results
  3. Filter node matches role keywords (cloud, data, sales ops, etc.)
  4. Google Sheets node appends new matches
  5. Telegram node sends daily digest if matches > 0

Step 3: Act on Signals

When you get an alert that company X posted 3 new "Data Infrastructure" roles, that company is actively building data infrastructure. Your data scraping or enrichment tool is relevant RIGHT NOW.

Real Numbers From My Setup

  • Companies monitored: 47
  • Job postings scraped/month: ~1,800
  • Signal matches per month: ~60-80 (roles matching buy keywords)
  • Outreach rate: 15-20 per month (highest signal companies)
  • Response rate: 2.3x higher than cold LinkedIn DMs with no signal
