A long time ago, I started a project named Neuron-IQ. The idea was to make a WordPress like site from scratch. I wanted to learn things and the best moment to learn them was in front of me, My friend. Since, January, I had been working on it day and night. As well as, I also have to give Physics lectures at University. But, I had a gentle idea. The current form of the site looks quite different from that in previous parts of this series. And honestly, this series had taught me a lot.
The current form of NeuronIQ, which you can visit obviously at NeuronIQ - What do you want to study? is quite new.
And the good part is all the functionality is maintained without any database. I have transcended from a regular static website to a dynamic one, while technically its still static. And also, there are no APIs. I wanted to keep the project free of them also.
One might think, where did this idea even come from? And you very correct to point that. This happened one fine night when I woke up at 2 a.m. and I opened a Google. Then I realised. In this modern era, the experience of a book like website, where one has to find contents is irrelevant and honestly weird. That's where I got this idea. Just like Google but for studies and free of AI slop.
All the content, I created myself, yes, Even Noah didn't even get to participate. He's a bit mad. As we had seen earlier also, his content is too long and honestly not suited. A rough idea I had like in January 20 only. As is visible from this Keep Note.
The current design is a bit better and arguably even good. I'm gonna be honest, in many instances like creating SVGs I took help of AI. And a bit in styling also. But the logic is something, we shall create ourselves. The code in itself is not something I'm really concerned about here. What I'm concerned about is the idea and logic.
How does the search even work? Again I had a very good idea of it in the beginning also. The modern version is just a bit different, which I wouldn't like to go in the specifics of.
The search I had idea for. I believe a good idea without complicating much for my small brain. JavaScript Objects inside of Arrays, for other language users, Object is basically a very light dictionary. The image itself is self explanatory and I really don't want to yap a lot. Try checking out, and having fun! One may also think why waste like 8 to 9 months on a single idea. And you are right. But the thing is I'm not unemployed. I can barely work for maximum 2 hours a day, so 8 to 9 months of mine is like 3 to 4 weeks of any other developer.
And ask me in the comments about anything, that feels weird about it. Because many things do? Like how does it happen? Obviously don't ask why there's no Quantum Mechanics. I haven't completed the content part yet!
A content page has also been attached. Lewis Structures. I know, the whole website is plain and simple. That's what I was hoping for. Not flashy animations, nothing like my past projects. Just a tranquil website, which serves its purpose, i.e., to educate the user.
In some pages, you may also see RDKIT.Js integration and MathJax too. Especially, the high school Chemistry ones. This is not a good post, I know, it doesn't have a lot of value to the end user. But maybe, it has a bit of value, just a bit. Apart from that, anyone can code, so this ain't a teaching lesson, but a talking session like people say in India, "Sankhya Samadhan" meaning sharing ideas and getting rid of confusion. Lots of love!
