Hardware devices connect, manage, and direct data across a network. Here are the 5 main devices:

Converts analog signals from telephone/cable lines into digital signals for your computer, linking you to your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
🔹 2. Hub vs. Switch
Hub: Old & simple. Broadcasts incoming data to all connected devices, creating heavy traffic.
Switch: Smart & modern. Uses a MAC table to send data directly to the intended device only.

The "traffic policeman" of the network. It connects different networks (like your home LAN to the global WAN) and finds the best route for data packets.
