MRE stands for Myeong-Ryeong-Eeda (명령이다), Korean for “It is a command.” The name sounds decisive; you still choose what to run.
I built MREShell to bring the terminals, projects, and commands I use every day into one Windows app.
It hosts the shells you already use, including PowerShell, Command Prompt, WSL, and Git Bash. You can organize terminals into workspaces, save reusable commands with parameters, and connect repeatable steps in runbooks.
For example, save git switch {{branch}} once, then reuse it by choosing the branch when you need it.
MREShell is free for personal and commercial use. It is a native Windows 11 x64 app and requires the Microsoft Visual C++ x64 Redistributable.
Preview status: Version 1.2.0 Preview 1 is unsigned, and clean Windows 11 VM validation is still pending. Please review the release notes before trying it.
I’d especially appreciate feedback on the workspace setup and reusable command workflow. Where did you get stuck, or what would make this more useful in your daily work?
