Two small, sourced facts this week — one accounting, one automation — that change how you'd actually set either up.
Zoho Books: the free plan is real, but it has three hard caps
Zoho's own India pricing page (zoho.com/in/books/pricing) says the free plan stays free forever, but only:
- while your financial-year revenue stays under ₹25 lakh
- capped at 1 user + 1 accountant
- capped at 1,000 invoices a year
Cross any one of those and you need a paid plan — Standard starts at ₹749/month billed annually. Most "is Zoho Books free in India" answers online just say yes or no; the honest answer is "yes, until one of three specific numbers."

Google Apps Script: your automation isn't broken, it hit a quota
If a Google Sheets automation "just stops" after working fine for months, it's almost never a bug in the script — it's one of Google's own daily quotas (developers.google.com/apps-script/guides/services/quotas):
- 100 email recipients/day on a personal Gmail account (1,500/day on Workspace)
- 90 minutes of total trigger runtime/day on personal (6 hours/day on Workspace)
- 20,000 UrlFetchApp (external API) calls/day on personal (100,000/day on Workspace)
