Most facial measurement and "rating" applications on the market today share two huge flaws:
- They charge aggressive subscription fees.
- They upload users' personal biometric selfie photos to centralized cloud servers.
I built FaceIQ as an open web application that executes 100% client-side in the browser.
How It Works Under the Hood
Using Google's MediaPipe 478-point landmark topology and WebAssembly/WebGL, the application computes:
- Bilateral Cranial Symmetry: Evaluates lateral deviation across 32 anatomical mirror pairs.
- Palpebral Canthal Tilt: Accurately measures inner-to-outer canthus inclination in degrees.
- Facial Thirds & FWHR: Bizygomatic cheekbone width to midface height proportions.
- Golden Ratio (Phi 1.618): Mathematical alignment against classical neoclassical cannons.
- PSL Scale Rating Calculator: Quantitative facial harmony scoring.
Because the entire inference model runs in local browser memory via WebAssembly, zero bytes of photographic data ever touch a remote server.

Would love to hear technical feedback and suggestions for additional craniofacial ratios to implement!
