My first AI startup, born in the /vue-tutorial folder

While learning Vue.js, a super easy frontend framework, I had an idea to make my own Resume Builder. Because in Poland we didn’t have many choices, either the resume looked generic or it was behind shady subscription plans, so...

I created Modern Resume – https://modernresume.co/

At first, this app wasn’t under this domain — this is actually a new version for USA users. The first version was made only for Polish people, launched one year ago. This app even got me my first job as a fullstack developer. To this day, the Polish version still gets ~8–15 organic users per day.

Modern Resume has one innovative function:

Right now, my goal is to promote Modern Resume in USA, I offer only one resume for free — then the user can choose a plan. One of the options is a one-time payment of $9 for lifetime access.

Features & Design

Modern Resume offers 1000+ fonts (the most of them are crappy, all of them are from google fonts library), AI-assisted resume writing, and a drag-and-drop layout editor inspired by Canva. Users can fully personalize their resumes with visual decorations, layout blocks, and smart formatting.

Technologies Used

Besides Vue.js The core of Modern Resume is a cloud infrastructure that enables it to scale for thousands of users. It’s powered by Firebase and AWS
