Writing a good blog post takes real effort. Publishing it once and moving on wastes most of that effort. This workflow takes one finished post and turns it into seven days of content across formats, using an AI chat assistant (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) plus a text-to-video tool.
The plan at a glance
| Day | Output | Tool |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Publish the original post | Your blog / Dev.to / Medium |
| 2 | X/Threads thread | AI assistant |
| 3 | LinkedIn post | AI assistant |
| 4 | Short vertical video | Zebracat or Fliki |
| 5 | Newsletter issue | AI assistant |
| 6 | Longer video with voiceover | Fliki |
| 7 | Quote graphics + FAQ post | AI assistant + any design tool |
Step 0: Extract the core ideas once
Everything else is built from this. Paste your post into an AI assistant with this prompt:
Here is my blog post: [PASTE POST]
Extract: (1) the single main takeaway in one sentence, (2) 5-7 key points as short bullets,
(3) 3 surprising or quotable lines, (4) 3 common questions a reader would still have.
Do not add facts that are not in the post.
Save the output. It's your "content brief" for the week.
Step 1 (Day 2): A thread
Using this content brief: [PASTE BRIEF]
Write a 6-8 post thread for X/Threads. Post 1 is a hook that states a problem, not a question.
One idea per post, under 250 characters each. Last post links to: [POST URL].
Plain language, no hashtags except one at the end.
Step 2 (Day 3): A LinkedIn post
Rewrite this brief as a LinkedIn post (150-220 words) for [AUDIENCE].
Open with a one-line hook, use short paragraphs, include one practical tip readers can apply today,
and end with a question to invite comments. Put the link [POST URL] on the last line.
Step 3 (Day 4): A short vertical video
Turn the post into a 30-60 second script first:
Write a 45-second vertical video script from this brief. Structure: hook (first 3 seconds),
3 quick points, call to action. Write it as spoken voiceover, one sentence per line,
plus a short on-screen caption for each line.
Then paste the script into a text-to-video tool:
- Zebracat focuses on turning text or scripts into short-form, faceless videos for TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
- Fliki turns scripts or blog URLs into videos with AI voiceovers and stock media.
Use the free tiers to run the same script through both and keep whichever output fits your style.
Step 4 (Day 5): A newsletter issue
Turn this brief into a newsletter issue (300-400 words). Personal, conversational tone.
Structure: short intro on why this matters this week, the 3 most useful points,
one action step, and a link to the full post: [POST URL]. Suggest 3 subject lines.
Step 5 (Day 6): A longer video with voiceover
Fliki can work from a blog URL or longer script, which suits a 2-4 minute explainer for YouTube. Ask the AI to convert the post into a narration script with scene notes, then paste it in, pick a voice, and review each scene's visuals before exporting.
Step 6 (Day 7): Quote graphics + FAQ post
From this brief, give me 5 standalone quote-card lines (max 15 words each)
and a short FAQ post answering the 3 reader questions in 2-3 sentences each.
Drop the quote lines into Canva or any design tool and post the FAQ as a follow-up on your blog or socials.
Tips to keep quality high
- Always edit. AI drafts are a starting point; add your own example or opinion to each piece.
- Don't invent facts. Tell the AI to stick to the post's content (the prompts above do this).
- Batch it. Generate all seven pieces in one sitting, then schedule them.
- Link back. Every piece should point to the original post so traffic compounds.
