Even though The Mythical Man-Month (by F. Brooks) was written ~50 years ago, it's still very relevant today in it's problematics and solutions.
And outdated in some parts as well.
Would anyone suggest some good reads as a follow up to this book with more up-to-date (or deeper) technique, method and research?
I'd appreciate that!

Dave Farley has a new (well... 2021) book but I haven't read it yet, though I have heard good things: Modern Software Engineering
Else, I think Practical Object Oriented Design (1ed 2012) in Ruby by Sandi Metz is a great book generally, ignoring that the examples are in Ruby.
Also The Phoenix Project (1ed 2016 i think?) by by Gene Kim, Kevin Behr, & George Spafford is good for a higher level at how teams can work well, although I didn't enjoy it as much as others rave about it.
Thank You very much for the suggestion! Still haven't had time to take a look at the books, but wrote them down in my reading list!
Btw, the Phoenix Project has been on my list for quite some time already, I've heard great reviews about it.
That is relatable - no matter if I am reading books my reading list still only gets longer 😅
I hope you find some wonderful books 📚
