Front end? Back end? What would you recommend?

What would you recommend to someone who's looking into learning web development? Front end, or back end?

I have experience with SQL, HTML & CSS. Currently self-teaching myself Python, Django and will move onto Javascript.

Well, that's the plan at least....

The question is way too broad to answer usefully. It really depends on your current levels of experience and what sort of organisations you want to work for. Ultimately there is more money in being a specialist, but if you want to work for a small company you probably need to be full stack.
The short answer is do what you love there is more demand than supply in all areas of web development, but knowing JavaScript and probably one of the big 3 frameworks is a prerequisite for front end development.
