Building BAINT continues to teach us one important lesson:
Learning challenges are not the same for every student
This week, we spent more time speaking directly with students from different departments to understand what they struggle with and how they currently learn
What we planned
Speak with more students across different departments
Continue improving our
understanding of student learning challenges
Publish more BAINT Insight Cards
Continue documenting our journey publicly
What actually happened
This week, we successfully spoke with students from History and Mechanical Engineering
Although reaching students remains difficult, these conversations gave us valuable insights into how different departments experience learning challenges
We also published BAINT Insight Card #002 and continued sharing our progress publicly
Student conversations this week
Mechanical Engineering
One Mechanical Engineering student shared that students commonly struggle with:
Engineering Mathematics
Mechanics of Machines
Electrical Engineering courses
Measurement related courses
The student mentioned that there are many difficult courses and that students often face multiple academic challenges simultaneously
History
A History student shared that courses like Major World Civilisation can be difficult and confusing to understand
The student also explained that friends and AI tools are often the first source of support when they encounter difficult topics
Student insights of the week
Different departments experience learning differently
Engineering students struggle with technical complexity and problem solving
History students
struggle with understanding broad concepts and connecting ideas
This reinforces something important for BAINT:
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to learning
Students need support that understands both their subject and their learning context
BAINT product insights
Our conversations continue to confirm that students need:
Clear explanations
Better context around difficult concepts
Learning support tailored to their department
Guidance rather than generic answers
These insights will continue shaping how we build BAINT.
Content and community updates
This week we published:
BAINT Insight Card #001
BAINT Insight Card #002
We also continued documenting our journey publicly across multiple platforms
Every conversation and every insight helps us move one step closer to building something genuinely useful for students
Next week
Speak with more students from additional departments
Publish more BAINT Insight Cards
Continue improving the BAINT demo
Collect more waitlist responses
Keep learning directly from students
We're still early,learning,building
One student conversation at a time
See you on the next weekly article on BAINT
