Looking for help with my DevConnect project!

🧑‍💻 Looking for help with my DevConnect project!

Hi everyone, I’m working on a platform called DevConnect. It’s currently at the MVP stage — with only Portfolio and Projects sections functional for now. The idea is to let developers share their work and collaborate on projects.

Tech stack:
Frontend: Next.js, Radix UI, TypeScript

Backend: NestJS

UI: About 30% built using v0.dev (due to lack of Figma)

Website:

🛠 I need help with:
UI/UX improvements (even basic suggestions or help with layout)

Feedback — what’s missing, what’s confusing?

Looking for people willing to help for free — I want to turn it into a real product (for portfolio, experience, open-source)

If you're interested in contributing or giving feedback — I’d really appreciate it

Love the initiative! I’ve worked with a similar stack and would be happy to give feedback – have you thought about adding onboarding flows for new users or maybe a way to highlight top projects right on the homepage?

love seeing stuff like this get built up from scratch - always gets me thinking about what actually makes people stick around on a platform long-term - you lean more on feature set or more on vibe?

Thanks! Really appreciate your comment. I agree — both feature set and vibe are important for long-term user engagement. But personally, I’m currently focusing more on functionality — making sure the core features work well and actually solve real problems. Once that foundation is solid, I’ll shift more attention to polishing the vibe and community aspect.

Love when people are this real about needing help - respect for actually building and putting it out there.

Thanks a lot! I really appreciate that. It’s not always easy to ask for help, but I believe being honest about where you're at opens the door to real growth and support. Still building — step by step!

Love the direction and your stack! I'll check out the app and drop some thoughts on the UI/UX soon.

Nice stack! What's the next feature you want to add after portfolios and projects are solid?

Thanks! After completing the portfolio and project sections, I’m planning to improve the Discover section (a.k.a. Connections). The idea is to break it down into multiple categories like skill-based filtering, skill verifications, events, mentorships, tasks, and more.

Most of these features are designed for collaborative usage, so they’ll be added once I start working with a team. If you’d like a sneak peek of what I’m planning, feel free to check out the pricing page — it outlines some of the future ideas.
I’d really appreciate your thoughts if you take a look and share any feedback you might have!

That’s some real builder energy right there - grinding on the MVP and pushing it out, respect.
