Super Mario World Restored Original Soundtrack: Great Coding Music!

This YouTube channel has all the songs. My first reaction is this is definitely good focus/coding music. If you played Super Mario growing up these tracks are likely familiar and non-distracting, but also highly enjoyable. I'm sure you've never heard these sounds so crisp.

I rarely use all 3 reactions on posts, but I this post's got more than enough for me to want to react with Heart, Unicorn, and Bookmark.

This is an amazing recommendation! If only YT's recommended was this good.

"restored using the original samples" I wonder what that means. That these are different from the actual game? Very curious now.

They used the Super Mario World leaked code to figure out which synthesizer sounds were originally used by Koji Kondo when he composed the game soundtrack.

They did deep investigation to figure out which synthesizer Kondo used at the time and pieced together which sounds were the correct ones, based on file names and other information we know from Kondo's life at the time.

Extremely impressive work.

Thanks! A video game music collector is ecstatic to discover something like this, especially since it's a good fit for coding music.
