switching to a career in tech 👩🏼‍💻

My life was a graceful dance of ballet, an art I held close to my heart for as long as I can remember. Then, the pandemic arrived, and with it came an unexpected twist that altered the course of my career. In this blog, I want to share with you the reasons that drew me into the captivating world of technology, and the journey that turned me into a front-end developer.

What drew me to a career in tech?

I've been a tech enthusiast for as long as I can remember, eagerly awaiting each new Apple gadget and spending my free time watching "a day in the life of a developer" videos on YouTube. The tech world has always piqued my curiosity, and it's not just about the gadgets; it's the diverse and fulfilling career opportunities that have drawn me in, promising both strength and balance.

Here are a few points on what drew me to a career in tech:

1.The tech world is famous for its hunger for skilled professionals. When it comes to web development, the future looks incredibly bright, with more and more job openings on the horizon. For someone like me who's passionate about pursuing a career in development, this is definitely great news.

2.In the tech world, you'll find not only exciting opportunities but also the potential for solid financial rewards. It's comforting to know that many tech roles come with really competitive salaries.

3.The tech industry is all in for remote work, offering the freedom to work from anywhere. But what really draws me in is the idea of working from my own laptop, in my own space – there's something uniquely appealing about that.

4.I really appreciate how tech jobs often span the globe, enabling us to collaborate with teams and clients from diverse corners of the world. I find this aspect incredibly cool and utterly fascinating.

5.What I like about many tech companies is their dedication to promoting a balanced work-life lifestyle, and to me, that's the dream job scenario. It's not just about the perks; it's a reflection of these companies genuinely caring about their employees' happiness and fulfilment.

6.In the tech world, it's like being in a never-ending school of learning. Technology evolves rapidly, and for developers like us, it's a daily journey of staying up-to-date and soaking in new knowledge. Here, every day feels like a classroom, and we're the eager students.

7.Online courses provide fantastic opportunities for learning, and the best part is, they're not only accessible but also budget-friendly. The beauty of it all is that you can even embark on a journey of self-teaching. To me, that's a fantastic perk worth celebrating!

These points underscore the dynamic and ever-evolving essence of tech careers, rendering it a thrilling and promising domain for individuals with a keen interest in technology and innovation.

Thank you for reading...in the meantime,

keep coding!
