Most valuable skill is reading. I couldn't do many things in life, including my job, without it.

How to throw out spiders with a glass and a sheet of paper was a very useful lesson. It helps my fiancΓ©e quite frequently πŸ˜›

Being able to read and absorb what I've read very quickly. I read a lot as a kid, so that probably contributed to it.

Get used to feeling uncomfortable. Whether it's reading a language other than your own, learning a new skill, practicing sports or getting to know new people. The best things in life happen when you step out of your comfort zone.
