Haha, yes! Makes it feel so much more action-packed than it is.

"Thought leader" is one that always gets me giggly. I don't see it around as much now, but in the 2010s thought leaders were everywhere.

Makes me think of this TED talk parody:

  1. Holistic or, even better, 'Big Picture'
  2. Onboarding (nobody ever says 'Offboarding,' though)
  3. Cutting-Edge or 'Bleeding-Edge'.
  4. Game Changer, whereas 'changing' does not necessarily mean 'improving'
  5. Core Competency, because that clearly leverages our USP* at POS** for our MVC***
  • Unique Selling Point ** Point Of Sale *** Most Valuable Customer

You may not hear the term "offboarding" if you're not involved in the actual offboarding process. However, when you're the user admin for tools or equipment, it's common.

Acronyms mean absolutely nothing to me. I think they've seeped their way into society due to corporate culture. But maybe it's just some only crapola too. I don't understand them, I will never understand them. I am absolutely doomed for not getting them. I see them akin to poison in the well, and they're everywhere. Absolutely everywhere.

(So I guess this is more a - I know this about corporate culture but dislike sort of thing.)

I don't know anything else about corporations, because I am not in the corporate world.
