I go hiking in Great Smoky Mountains National Park most weekends (on the Tennessee/North Carolina border in USA). I can get to most of the trailheads there within 90 minutes of driving.

I try to hike different trails every time. It has an infinite number of lovely spots. Here's a picture I took recently.

ufff I didn't want to reveal my favorite hiking spot 😏 although I believe it is already popular, but dev community is cool and kind....
My favorite hiking spot is in Cornwall, New york; the Black Rock Forest! such an amazing hike and beauty to get away and rejuvenate!

Here is a link to their website if you wan't to learn more , Black Rock Forest, bottom section includes a downloadable map(some maps are available at the location).
Enjoy!

For me it would be here if local:

nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/somerse...

Cheddar Gorge

And perhaps here if on vacation:

andrewswalks.co.uk/wetherlam.html

Weatherlam

Though I fear these maybe the wrong side of the Atlantic for most on this site.

Great topic 😃😃😃
In my case, I go outside my house walking to the countryside. I'm very close to it.

Here in Florida, the trails aren't great but I'm on them five or six times a week throughout the year. I mostly do trail running, but also mix in hiking and backpacking. It's great exercise and feels good to have some time outside.

I also enjoy taking a couple of backpacking "vacations" throughout the year - hiked the Ocean to Lake trail earlier this year and going to the Great Smoky Mountains in October and the Foot Hills trail early next year.
