hi
I'll give it my best .
I’d love for more people to try this out and see whether it helps with their day-to-day browsing.
So far, one person has tried it and given positive feedback. If you know someone who is visually impaired and might be interested in testing it, I’d really appreciate their feedback.

Most gifted plants die of a bad window, not neglect. So I built one that tells you which window.
One weekend... a bunch of different LLMs helping each other out to build this. Thanks for the inspiration.

How often does MHL update? :)

Or do I need to do anything besides submitting to dev.to to get this milestone?
I'm not able to connect DEV account. I mean I connected it through MLH but here in DEV Challenges it still shows me connect your DEV account. can anyone help me?
Try logging out of both account and then logging back in.
yes that worked for me thanks
Check in DEV whether it shows connected with MLH and then go to Hacktober website do log out and log in again(works for me)
for me it was just matter of time. I see it synced now without me doing anything extra.
pricing tables close the demo. settlement week still needs a tip anyone can GET after the portal flips.
which public query proves the cut without a second shadow ledger?
curious what breaks first: MDR opacity or hop finality.

I built Chrome Extension for Dev.to family. You will read/find more interesting articles than you can imagine ❤️❤️❤️
This post below is not part of my submission, but highly inspired by Hacktoberfest and use of local AI.

Wow interesting! :D
HI
Hi DEV Team,
I’m reaching out regarding the Virtual Sticker Launch Weekend DEV Challenge. I participated as part of a team in the submission "ExpenseAI".
Project Details:
The project was submitted as a team entry, and I am listed as a team member in the submission:
The challenge rules state that team submissions are supported and that collaborators’ DEV handles should be listed so the entire team can receive the completion badge. However, I have not yet received my virtual sticker for this challenge.
I wanted to check whether there is any additional action required from my side, or if there is a different process for team members to be awarded the virtual sticker.
Thank you for your help!
Hey@justsamridhi, thanks for flagging this. We're currently working on getting all team members their virtual badges!
@heyitsjem Please review!
Hi! @heyitsjem I have a question regarding my Hacktoberfest Weekend Challenge submission and MyMLH account association.
I submitted my Weekend Challenge entry from my DEV account @shashank0701byte during the submission period.
At the time, that DEV account was not connected to my MyMLH account. I have since connected @shashank0701byte to my MyMLH account, and it is now showing under my Social Media Connections.
My MyMLH account also has my other DEV account, @shashank_chakraborty_6362, connected.
Could you please confirm whether my Weekend Challenge submission can still be associated with my MyMLH account and credited toward my Hacktoberfest DEV Challenge progress?
Submission: dev.to/shashank0701byte/vivabuddy-...
DEV account used: @shashank0701byte
I can provide screenshots of the MyMLH account connections if needed.
Thanks!
Hey @shashank_chakraborty_6362, thanks for bringing this up. We've updated your MyMLH progress and granted you the sticker manually.
Thank you so much for the help.
My Challenge Submission
Nice to join this challenge! Let's go build :)
@heyitsjem entry for this challenge 👋
Built PhishGuard for a friend who was one tap away from a "college fee payment FAILED, 24 hours to cancel" WhatsApp scam. It's a local phishing checker: ~15 deterministic rules + gemma3:2b through Ollama as a second opinion, stdlib-only Python (one file, no pip install), works with the Wi-Fi off — that was the whole point for him.
Live demo: phishguard-oi4y.onrender.com
Entry post: dev.to/shriyanshgupta145/my-friend...
The part I'd love feedback on: rules and the local model disagree sometimes (rules gave a SIM-deactivation message 0/100, model called it PHISHING — and it was right). Kept the AI as a fallback layer, not a replacement. Happy Hacktoberfest 🎃
Built "Nani's Recipe Book" for my [Nani] 🍲❤️
Voice memos in Hindi turn into a written family recipe book, using Whisper large-v3 and Gemma 4.

any tips on keeping the repo lightweight for a weekend sprint? i find setting up a ci that runs only on pull requests saves a lot of time
can we do this in team? or it is individual? if yes , how do i register for the team
Yup!
From the Challenge landing page:
"Yes, you can work on teams of up to four people.
