Hi, I am a full stack web dev that mostly quit after graduating CS and first freelance project and built a quasi-successful real estate sales business. My heart is in development and I recently found Flutter and working toward changing back to my original career choice. I love communities and looking forward to getting to know Dev.to!

You can see my current passion project, a small #flutter community focused on building real human connections with other devs through small group live web meetups and projects. Our discord is flutterbuddies.com

Hello everyone, I’m Amar! I’ve been a programmer in the video game industry since before iPhones were a thing.

My most recent game projects have been created with Unity and C#. Although recently I’ve getting more and more into non-game projects, mainly using Python.

Like now, I’m starting development on a SaaS project using Django and (maybe?) Vue.js. That’s a new area for me, and I plan on posting what I learn here on dev.to.

Hello, DEVs. Thanks for the welcome :)

Last night I finished my first real-world React App and today I needed to deploy it. I look on the net about how to do it and basically saw it is quite easy- until it wasn't. So I got here looking for an answer.

Once again - HELLO :)

Hi there! Just coming over here after finishing this year's Hacktoberfest, though I have an old blog that I might switch over here later.

I'm somewhat of an old-school dev working on #perl and #slackware, so I'm not too sure if I fit the current stock of devs here; OTOH I also do a lot of stuff on #kubernetes and #nix lately, so maybe...

Hope to enjoy my stay here and learn a lot from everyone!

Hello everyone!

I'm a student in Finance and Accounting. I had had a little bit knowledge in programming with the C++ language when I was a high school student.

Programming is one of my hobbies in weekends, because it helps me to think about the problem and to find the best solution. But I think myself that I wasn't disciplined enough to make programming is more useful to me.

Last Monday, I decided to join #100DaysOfCode challenge and #DEV community to help myself more disciplined and motivated to transform programming from hobby to a powerful tool to help me automate my works.

Why did I choose DEV community? The main reason is pretty simple: this is one of the most active, friendly and open-minded community in programming.

I also made a simple programming series about my learning path in Java development. This series is daily updated: Java adventure of Suxin Jeong.

I'm connected to other developers on DEV.to now. How about you?

Hello all.
My journey began 2 years ago when I started playing around with an arduino uno and the C language....steep learning curve that I couldn't really understand.
I stumbled across a book "Get Coding 2". Basic building of games using html, css and Javascript. Once I got my head around javascript, the C language made more sense.
I moved over to linux and mac (7 years of windows and the BSOD ended that one for me).
I then started using linux, bash and shell scripts. My main text editor is vscode but really getting into vim.
Now learning AWS and cloud computing services.
After 2 year I have learned so much but it still feels like a small drop in the ocean compared to what is out there.
My advice to anyone getting into software....Never stop learning. Be resilient in the face of thousands of failures in coding and Google the hell out of all your problems.
Hello and godspeed to everyone on the same journey.
