Managed to upgrade my PCπ₯°

it's look like beast
Your cpu cooler's heat sink may not be doing your gpu's cpu cooling any favors lol
Well, they are close together, but there is space between them. This is downside of a MicroATX board.
The CPU heat sink does not touch the backplate from the GPU. While the backplate can act as a heat dissipator, it is not something which affects the CPU cooling.
The GPU fans push the hot air out on the side of the GPU, they are not pushing it up directly to the CPU.
All you need now is a motherboard lol and a cpu to go with it...That is a big ass power supply looks like a jet engine ...its beautiful....So terminator.
I think you are talking about the CPU cooler, the power supply is not visible in the photo. But yeah, you need a huge cooler for the current gen CPUs, because they are running hot.
That is pc porn!!
Clean and pristine!!!
Please send more pc nudes!!!
Its a beaut!!!
The motherboard is tiny then...I can see the cardslots there!!!
Well done bro!!
Yeah, the motherboard is a tiny one, it is a Gigabyte B650M Gaming X AX in a MicroATX format.
Here we can see the full build. The case is an old NZXT.
Also, this pic was taken before routing a secondary cable from the PSU to the GPU.
YUM!!! whats her name ???
Let's just keep it clean here, overFlow. This isn't exactly crossing the line and I know you're just joking around, but it's getting just a little weird, haha. π
That said, agreed! This PC looks incredible. The red is π₯
alright I agreee...lol defintely fire though!!
I've a lot to celebrate for this week but l'll just mention the best of all. Folks, l was awarded the Icebreaker Badge.
Please, don't judge me. Small achievements just means a lot to me. I know one day l will be great hahahahahaha.
Oh heck yeah, Chantal! π§π¨
Thank you so much for helping to break the ice on so many different DEV posts. This really means a lot to us here... when someone leaves a comment on a post, it makes it so much more likely that others will. These can turn into conversations that are just as interesting as the posts.
I really think this is one of the main things that makes us a community and not just a publication. So, just gotta say that we really appreciate ya helping us out in this way!
Hey there! π
You're absolutely welcome! It's fantastic to hear that my comments have helped spark conversations and contribute to the sense of community on DEV. Creating engaging discussions is what makes platforms like this truly special, and I'm thrilled to be a part of it. Let's keep the momentum going and continue exchanging ideas and insights β that's what makes us a strong and vibrant community. Looking forward to more exciting interactions ahead! ππ¬
That's cool! congrats for the badge!
Thank you @khairunnisaas
Went back to college after 25 years away! Have one class to finish in my minor and then my original degree is done. And I've decided to start another degree immediately thereafter -- getting a Bachelor's of Applied Science in Software Application Development with a minor in Philosophy.
Oh wow, that's seriously awesome Dan! So cool that you're headed back to finish off that previous degree, but also gonna add another under your belt. The combo you're gonna have sounds like a strong one.
I really wish I had taken some Philosophy courses... but hey, it's never too late to go back.
Have an accessibility presentation.
I got stuck in traffic and lost so I was 15 minutes late.
My presentation broke so I had to improvise and just do a live audit and explain things instead.
And I still got great feedback and loads of people came up to thank me after soβ¦I consider that a win! π
Traffic is an accessibility problem, too.
ππ―π
Phew! Sounds like life was throwing ya a lotta curveballs... but I'm glad everything worked out well in the end. That's awesome! π
Significantly improved our website - Not really developer related though, since most improvements were marketing related - But still a win ^_^
Ohh yeah, and then I converted 19,500 lines of VB.NET code with option strict off for .Net Framework 4.72 to C# π
Resulting in a binary compatible, in place replacement of the original project π
Nice!! Marketing improvements are indeed a win. Sounds like a pretty successful week to me.
It was OK, and sales are finally beginning to pick up π₯³
I just realised that it helps to know XML to know about API. So its almost like Im getting there after starting the whole week and getting stuck. Im jus about getting unstuck. The week is not over though at least. So by sunday I will be somewhere atleast. I feel like I am getting somewhere.
Dang, overFlow! That sounds like one of those "one step forward, two steps back" kinda situations. But hey, you're definitely getting closer. Hang in there and hope ya get it by Sunday!
yes Sir !!! Im pushing !!!
I've crossed $200 in sales for my Terraform eBook :π
Oh awesome, Bobby! Major congrats. Make that paper! πΈ
Thank you Michael π appreciate the nice words π
I had a really productive week making improvements on Pro Tools
Awww yeah! Major congrats, Carla. That's awesome that you're working toward being an agile coach.
Writing about my experience contributing to a freeCodeCamp repo!

It's so nice to have ya here with us, Khairunnisaas. Really appreciate you sharing that post about your first OSS contribution and just cool to see ya commenting across different DEV posts. Hope ya continue to enjoy DEV! π

i've decided to make a virtual amusement park now...
Oooo a virtual amusement park is a seriously awesome idea, Medea. Also, your escape room game looks amazing!

I've learned a lot about Docker; especially how to make containers reachable from the internet with Cloudflare Tunnel.
Oh that's awesome, Benedikt. I bet that'll be super useful!
I started building a platformer!
Start testing to learn stuff in small pices, start with Clojure and Modern javascript.
Looks like a good way to learn in a busy world.
On the new wave of CSS Battles I broke the top 100 leader board. I got to rank #66.
Started really getting into Typescript/JavaScript, and I have to say, compared to Python or C, Typescript pretty much writes itself.
Oh nice! Sounds like Python/C have prepared you well. π
I both learned WASM and youched grass, if I can count that as an achievement
Added a repo to Git.
I am also getting hang of Git Bash, and understanding the differences beteween Github and Git while focusing on git for the moment.
