  • found out I had broken into the top 5 for all time for the accessibility tag on StackOverflow (something I have been working on for a couple of years so that was a nice surprise)
  • 50k views on DEV.to is a nice little milestone considering I have been posting less than 3 months, looking forward to 100k!
  • rearranged my office so I can finally get my gym stuff in the house instead of the garage! No more excuses for COVID curves!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Win :

  1. Bought custom domain for blog.
  2. Started sending weekly newsletter here (getrevue.co/profile/vishnuch)
  3. Published 2 articles.

Failure :
started reading new book. But couldn't manage to continue to read for couple of days this week.

Hopefully I will read consistently next week.

I reached a small milestone in dev, 500+ followers and 50k+ views, featured in dev community digest two weeks in a row. Hope to finish some projects on JavaScript this week.

Well,
I coded mini websites for my teachers for teacher appreciation week,
Scanning my code and making it more efficient,
Tried thinking of new ideas for my project, but got none (lol),
And I started working on a mini in-browser FTP project!!!!

I published on Dev for the first time in a long time, and I have another post in the works that is short but I'm very proud of it. I wrote my first code pen for it!
Here's my new post: dev.to/brodan/hopefully-an-intro-t...

I added stack traces and debugging instructions, also received and made a few PRs.
But I guess the biggest win is gwion beating luajit (interpreter mode) on the method-call benchmark, by what I think is a fair margin.

looks like I can't the benchmark to show.
here it is:

Gwion is growing, that's amazing. I always want to learn more
about it... But I have no time! 😭 But when I'm done with university,iI'm definitely going to spend some time with it.

  • Built a crawler in rust, that fetches playlists of a radio station and puts them into spotify. My first project in rust, had some headaches though
  • Started a skill share course in assembly, hope I keep doing it
  • ordered a pc upgrade I wanted for very long :)

I was excited to have started a new front-end developer role! Speaking of which, do you know a polite way to say “no” to a client if they offer me a new project, which I’d no longer have time for? I can’t take on a new developer role and do freelance work at the same time. I searched all over the Internet for solutions, but nothing matches what I have in mind. Help would be appreciated!
