Why: The Day PCs Become Obsolete
It's been 18 years since the iPhone launched in 2007. Since then, mobile apps like Facebook, Twitter (X), YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok have taken over the world. Step outside and everyone's glued to their phones.
The Numbers Don't Lie
Smartphones ship 3x more units than PCs. Yet we still need computers for "real work":
- Excel - Ever tried editing a complex spreadsheet on mobile? Nightmare.
- Programming - Good luck coding 1000+ lines on a 6-inch screen
- Video editing - Horizontal videos still need that desktop real estate
Most people believe: "You NEED a PC for serious work."
But generative AI is destroying this belief system.
Everything we struggled to build on PCs can now be done entirely on mobile.
The AI Agent Revolution
AI agents can now handle programming, video editing, and complex workflows. This evolution is exponential.
Example 1: Cursor Goes Mobile
Cursor, the AI-powered code editor, launched mobile on July 1, 2025. You can now build entire products from your phone.

Behind the Scenes: App Architecture
iOS (Swift + SwiftUI)
The iOS app is actually 3 apps in 1:
- Main app
- Share Extension
- App Clip
All built natively for maximum performance.
For the home screen, I instructed Claude Code to focus on:
- User authentication flow
- Elegant statistics components
- Recent activity feed
The stats needed to be simple and instantly recognizable by category.
The monster screen was designed to create emotional connection. Users navigate to individual monster details where the AI agent magic happens.
The Interface Philosophy
Here's what I'm still figuring out: Humans need a trigger action to interact with AI agents.
In LLMonster, this trigger is "stocking" (collecting). When you stock something interesting, the agent analyzes your preferences and executes optimal workflows.
