Why I Stopped Uploading My Files to Random Websites (And Built ToolXZ)
The "Privacy" Lie We’ve all been there. You need to compress a PDF, shrink an image, or generate a password. You Google it, click the first link, and hit "Upload."

But have you ever stopped to think... where does that file actually go?

Most "free" tools online take your data, upload it to their servers, process it, and then let you download it. In that process, your personal photos, sensitive documents, or private data just left your computer. It’s sitting on a server owned by someone you don’t know.

That felt wrong to me. So, I decided to do things differently.

Enter Browser-Based Tools When I started building ToolXZ, I had one rule: No Uploads.

I wanted tools that work entirely inside your browser. When you use our Image Compressor, the compression doesn't happen on our server—it happens on your computer. Your images never leave your device.

It’s faster (no waiting for uploads), it works offline once loaded, and most importantly, it’s 100% private.

Building for Humans (Like My Mom) I didn't want to build a tool for "tech experts." I wanted something my mom could use. She doesn't care about "lossy vs. lossless compression" or "entropy in password generation." She just wants to send vacation photos to her friends without Gmail complaining about file size.

That’s why ToolXZ is simple.

No sign-ups.
No watermarks.
No annoying "buy pro" popups.
Just tools that work.
What's Next? We’re currently expanding. From our Strong Password Generator that keeps hackers away, to our Hashtag Generator for creators—we’re building a hub of utilities that respect your time and your data.

Stop being the product. Start using tools that actually work for you.
