Regarding the platform used, although I don't particularly watch a lot of programming live streams, most of the people I know who watch those, usually do it on YouTube.
Personally, if I start watching more, I would most likely go to YouTube as well. It's where I watch conference talks and coding tutorials so it feels more natural for me to watch coding streams there as well.
On Facebook, it would be too distracting and on Twitch, I only go there for watching gaming live streams but not coding.
