Code, Share, Grow: Cultivating the Heart of the Dev Community

We are thrilled to officially launch the community program and invite you to become a core part of its growth! This is your invitation to help us build the definitive hub for collaborative development and to connect with peers around the world.
A New Chapter for Collaborative Dev
Our goal is simple: to make it easier for every developer, no matter their experience level or location, to connect with peers, find collaborators, share their knowledge, and build great projects together. The "DEV" logo at the peak of the tree in our image represents the platform we are all building.
How You Can Participate: The Roots and Branches
We're looking for passionate community members to join us in several key areas. We've designed these roles to mirror the vital functions of a thriving ecosystem:
• Moderation Mentors (The Strong Branches): Help shape the discourse. Guide new users, facilitate constructive and respectful conversations, and ensure our community remains a safe and welcoming space for all. This isn't just about enforcement; it's about active mentorship and fostering a positive environment.
• Code Collaborators (The Trunk and Software): Do you love open source? We need developers to help maintain our core repositories, review pull requests, and propose new features. Be at the center of our development.
• Knowledge Sharers (The Rich Text and Tutorials): Are you a natural teacher or a master of a specific technology? We need writers, video creators, and documentation experts to produce high-quality tutorials, guides, and articles that help our community grow their skills. Fill our platform with valuable resources!
• Event Facilitators (The Connecting Circuit-Board Roots): Do you have experience organizing events? Host virtual meetups, hackathons, and AMAs. Create spaces for our members to connect and learn in real-time.
Cultivating Your Own Profile (Your Branch)
As part of this program, we are also launching new profile features:
• "Top Community Contributor" Badge: A new visible badge for those who are consistently helpful, collaborative, and create high-quality content. This isn't about status; it's a way for others to know you are a trusted community member.
• Highlight Your Contributions: Easily showcase the projects you’ve collaborated on and the tutorials you've written directly on your profile page.
How to Get Started
We're kicking this off with an initial intake for our Moderation Mentors and Code Collaborators programs.
To join, simply click the button below to fill out a short interest form. Tell us which area you're interested in and a little about your experience. No long essays are required!

We will review applications over the next two weeks and get in touch. Even if you're not ready to commit to a specific role, we'd love for you to get involved by:
• Using the collaborative-dev and community-spotlight tags.
• Joining our dedicated [Link to Community Forum/Channel].
• Sharing this post with any developer who you think would be a perfect fit!
A tree only grows from the support of every single cell. Every small act of collaboration—a helpful comment, a clean code review, a well-written tutorial—nurtures our community and makes it stronger.
Together, we are cultivating a space where every developer can thrive. Let’s build something amazing together.
We can't wait to see what this community accomplishes!
