Hey, I make my own npm package for react and nextjs (I plan to make nuxt, svelte, engular, etc variants later) that calculates your age like this:

"use client"

import Age from "age-ts"

export default function Page() {
  return(
    <div>
      <p>
        I am a <Age birthdate='01-01-2001' > year old programmer
      </p>
    </div>
  );
};
Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode

you can also set a variable as an environment variable, like this

NEXT_PUBLIC_BIRTHDATE='01-01-2001
Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode

A lot of programmers have complex custom rigs in their websites to calculate their age automatically, why not just let my code do the work.
I also added an "impress_the_girls_mode" that adds a year to the calculated age. Idk why, my Dad said that it's funny.

tbh i cant keep up with all these new github projects popping up every month, but i kinda love digging thru them for random ideas - you ever find any hidden gems in lists like these or does it all blur together for you too?

This is a monster list, man. Sometimes I wonder if Im missing key projects just cause theres too much to watch all at oncemakes you think if its even possible to keep up with all this new dev stuff or if you just gotta pick your lane and stick to it, you feel the same?

Been using so many of these little repos lately - always wild how just cloning something random can get me unstuck fast. Youre a freaking legend for putting this all in one place.
