Here are all the game overlays I know about. Some of them are built with web technology and others are written and native code.
Steam Overlay
The steam overlay works in almost every game and allows you to press SHIFT+TAB to reveal various things.
Discord Game Overlay
Lets you see things like users in the voice chat as well as chat from a single channel. You can enabled the overlay with SHIFT+Backtick

Epic Social Overlay
The Epic social overlay allows you to see your friends list and invite people to games. It can be opened by various ways depending on the platform.

SHIFT+F3 - Nintendo Switch (recommended):
Minus button - PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 (recommended): Touchpad
- Xbox One, Xbox Series (recommended):

Microsoft Windows Game Bar
The Windows game bar allows you to control and view many things during your PC gaming experience by pressing Windows+G.
Nvidia Geforce Experience
Most useful things are the being able to record and a nice FPS counter. You can activate the overlay with ALT+Z.
Overwolf
Overwolf is more or less a platform for developers build useful game overlays for their supported games.
EA
It is pretty useless and there is no documentation 💀. You can activate this by pressing SHIFT+F1.
