We all have that one bad habit that ruins our focus. For me, it was browser tabs.
I used to leave 40, 50, sometimes 60 tabs open at once.
My mistake was thinking: "I'll need this article later, I better keep it open."
But here is what actually happened:
My browser was incredibly slow.
I wasted 5 minutes every day searching for the one tab I actually needed.
Just seeing the mess of tabs at the top of my screen gave me low-level anxiety.
The Fix:
I realized bookmarking was too slow. So I forced myself to adopt a "1-Click Dump" rule.
Now, when I see a tab I want to keep, I right-click it, hit "Save to Notion", and it goes straight to an Inbox board. I then sort them into "Save Forever" or "Delete Tomorrow" and immediately close the browser tab.
My computer is faster, and my mind feels clearer.
