I Built a Free AI Image Generator with No Signup (100% Free, No Credit Card)

I wanted to share a project I've been working on: IA Pixora - a free AI image generator that requires zero signup and zero credit card.

Why I Built This

Most AI image generators in 2026 still require:

• Creating an account
• Email verification
• Credit card details (even for "free" tiers)
• Waiting for approval

I wanted to build something different: instant, free, and accessible to everyone. No barriers. Just type a prompt and get results.

Tech Stack

Here's what powers IA Pixora:

• Frontend: Vanilla HTML/CSS/JavaScript (no framework bloat)
• Backend: Supabase (Auth, Database, Storage)
• AI Providers: Fal.ai, HuggingFace, Pollinations (fallback system)
• Storage: Supabase Storage for user galleries (auto-delete after 1h)
• Analytics: Google Analytics 4
• Hosting: GitHub Pages

The Freemium Approach

I implemented a "soft freemium" model:

• Anonymous users: 3 free generations (tracked via localStorage)
• Registered users: Unlimited generations + 15 bonus points
• Points system: Earn points through daily tasks, referrals, and engagement
• Badges: Unlock badges as you create more images

This keeps the tool accessible while encouraging engagement.

Challenges I Faced

1. API Cost Management - Implemented a multi-provider fallback system to keep costs at $0
2. Image Storage - Auto-delete after 1 hour to manage storage costs
3. Rate Limiting - Prevent abuse without blocking legitimate users
4. Mobile UX - Designed for mobile-first since 70% of users are on phones
