The Problem
Senior developers are applying to hundreds of jobs with zero feedback, while companies post the same roles repeatedly without closing them or providing any signal on why candidates weren't selected. Existing ATS systems filter by keywords, not real experience, and interview processes stretch 6-12 weeks with irrelevant algorithmic questions. Both sides feel the dysfunction but have no visibility into what's actually happening.
What We're Building
HireSignal creates a feedback loop between employers and candidates. We track job posting health (days open, applicant count, closure status), surface candidates based on real experience tags (not keywords), and mandate post-interview feedback within 48 hours. For employers, we prevent ghost postings and highlight high-signal candidates. For candidates, we guarantee transparency—if no feedback arrives, they get it back or refund.
Who It's For
Hiring managers and recruiting ops teams at mid-market tech companies (50–500 people) and B2B SaaS firms. Decision makers: VP Engineering, Head of People, Recruiting Ops Manager. Companies actively hiring but frustrated with poor ATS results and high candidate dropout.
Key Features (Planned)
- Job posting health dashboard—see days open, applicant count, and closure status across all roles
- Experience-based candidate matching—tag skills (10+ yrs Python, Distributed Systems) instead of keyword filtering
- Guaranteed interview feedback—feedback within 48 hours or money back; auto-tracked from email integrations
We're validating this idea before writing a single line of code. If this resonates with you, we'd love your feedback:
If a platform gave you real-time feedback on why you weren't selected within 48 hours, and showed you exactly how many days a job had been open and how many applicants were in the pool, would that change how you apply to roles?
