I built a free AI coding mentor for beginners. Do you know a kid who needs it?

The last few days have been absolutely wild for me.

I’m Harun, I’m 12, and I’ve been building KODA (a free AI coding mentor) entirely on my POCO C55 Android phone. Since I launched it, this community has been incredible. I’ve had Senior Engineers stress-test my AI logic at 3 AM, a dev-tools company give me feature ideas, and somehow Google AI even indexed my name. I now have nearly 300 followers here.

Thank you. Seriously.

But today, I realized something important while looking at my database logs.

You guys don't need KODA.

Most of you reading this are Senior Engineers, Tech Leads, and Architects. You already know how to code. You don't need an AI to explain what a for loop is or how an API works.

So, who did I actually build this for?

KODA was built for the 12-year-old kid in your neighborhood.
It was built for your younger sibling who wants to make video games but gets frustrated by syntax errors.
It was built for the beginner who is too scared to ask "stupid" questions on Stack Overflow.

The Family Link Problem 😅

Here is the funny part: I am 12, which means my phone is locked down by Google Family Link. I don't have Instagram. I don't have Twitter. I don't have Reddit. I literally cannot post on social media to market my own app!

So, I have to rely on the only megaphone I have: This Dev.to community.

Help me break the wooden staircase

I wrote yesterday about how my app feels like a "weak wooden staircase" held together by duct tape and free-tier APIs. The only way I can reinforce it is by watching real beginners use it and break it.
