Designers Are Still Using Photoshop for Tesla Wraps. There's a Better Way.

The standard workflow for a custom Tesla Paint Shop wrap — the digital kind that displays on the car's touchscreen — looks like this:

  1. Download Tesla's UV template for your model
  2. Paint over it in Photoshop, manually keeping track of which way is up on a 3D car
  3. Hand-fix every seam where texture edges meet around the body
  4. Guess at export settings, walk to the car, discover Tesla silently rejected the file
  5. Repeat steps 3–4

Photoshop is a magnificent tool. It just doesn't know what a Tesla UV map is.

The dedicated-tool workflow

Tesla Wrap Gallery replaces that loop with a purpose-built pipeline:

  • Start from 6,000+ free templates (Model 3 / Y / Cybertruck) or generate with one-click AI — orientation correct, seams sealed, because generation happens against the UV spec
  • Design in the browser studio with live 2D + 3D preview — see the wrap on the actual car shape as you work, no mental UV gymnastics
  • Decorate with stickers: a large built-in template library, your own imports, or one-click AI-generated stickers
  • Export with a checker that validates resolution (512–1024px), file size (<1MB) and UV/model match before you walk to the car

No installs, no plugins, no seam surgery. Free to use, no account required.

When Photoshop still wins

Honest caveat: if you're doing ultra-detailed illustration work from scratch, Photoshop's brush engine is still king. The smart move is Photoshop for the artwork, then the dedicated tool for UV-correct assembly, preview and export validation. Use each tool for what it's good at.

The iOS companion app is Tes Wraps - AI 3D Design on the App Store.

Stop fighting UV seams by hand. Your time is worth more than that.
