I come from the databases and systems side. Worked on the MongoDB pluggable storage engine from Facebook/Parse, rolled out the world's first MongoDB+RocksDB into production. Developed various capture/replay mechanisms for MySQL traffic in the past. Chef, automation, orchestration, microservices, web scale infrastructure, platforms, APIs, etc.

These days I mostly work on observability.
