How to get promoted at your software job

Hi! So I have been promoted from intern to full time employee before and recently I was promoted from React Native developer to Software Engineer II, so I want to share some of my tips on how to get promoted. Here goes:

During appraisal time, be sure to include all tasks that you did throughout the year in the document that they tell you to fill.
Throughout the year, when you are free or have no tasks, be sure to let your manager know that you are free.
Do online courses or upskill yourself in your free time.
Attend tech events to know about the upcoming technologies.
Read articles, books etc which are related to tech.
Watch tech YouTube videos.
Make small side software projects to keep the passion alive.
Do any tasks which you get at work with diligence.
If you are stuck in a task, seek help.
Document everyday about what you did at work on that day.
Help peers if they have any issues.
Collaborate with other teams.
Be sure to do all kinds of tasks like development, testing, documentation, bug fixing, migration, feature development, performance enhancement, etc.
If your work requires you to learn new technologies, do so with flexibility.
