The OnePassApps Home Page in Two Orders: 29 Cards, a 22-Item JSON-LD List, and Five Ideas in Neither

I work on OnePassApps, the team behind app.onepassapps.com, so this is our own home page, and every count below was read off it on 7 November 2026 in one signed-out browser session, plus plain HTTPS for the guides index.

Our home page lists 29 things you can open: 22 apps and 7 browser Studios. The page says so itself - the filter row reads "All 29", "Live 2", "Tools 20", "Studios 7", and 2 + 20 + 7 comes to 29.

Two days earlier, in our own measurement of the same page, that row read "All 9", "Live 2", "Tools 0", "Studios 7" - nine things and no tools at all. What follows is what that list looks like now that it is 29 long, the two orderings the page keeps of it, and the five things on it that no machine-readable list on the site mentions.

The order you see

In the order the cards appear, with the category label each one carries:

  1. MovieMatcherAI - LIVE APP · FILMS - "Find films, keep a watchlist and rate what you’ve seen."
  2. NewsFlow - LIVE APP · NEWS - "Trusted-source news briefs to read or listen to."
  3. PDF Organiser - TOOL · DOCUMENTS - "Merge, split, reorder and rotate PDF pages locally."
  4. Image Studio - STUDIO · IMAGES - "Convert, compress, resize and crop images on this device."
  5. CV Builder - TOOL · WRITING - "Build a résumé, pick a template, print or save a PDF."
  6. Audio Studio - STUDIO · AUDIO - "Trim and convert audio files on this device."
  7. Email Signature Builder - TOOL · WRITING - "HTML and plain-text signatures with setup guides."
  8. File Studio - STUDIO · FILES - "Archive, hash, rename and join files locally."
  9. Chart Maker - TOOL · DATA - "Turn CSV into charts with SVG and PNG downloads."
  10. Text Studio - STUDIO · TEXT - "Clean, compare, convert and inspect text."
  11. Subtitle Workbench - TOOL · VIDEO - "Convert SRT and VTT, fix timings and check cues."
  12. Data Studio - STUDIO · DATA - "View and transform CSV, JSON and YAML locally."
  13. Browser Teleprompter - TOOL · WRITING - "Scroll a script with speed, size and mirroring."
  14. Icon Studio - STUDIO · ICONS - "Make favicons and app icons, and work safely with SVG."
  15. Screen & Cinema Planner - TOOL · PERSONAL - "Compare screen sizes and viewing angles for your seat."
  16. Colour Studio - STUDIO · COLOUR - "Sample colours, build palettes and check contrast."

Then thirteen more tools in a row, with no Studio between them:

  1. Label & Card Maker - TOOL · DOCUMENTS
  2. Social Preview Designer - TOOL · IMAGES
  3. Citation Formatter - TOOL · WRITING
  4. Calendar Maker - TOOL · PLANNING
  5. Password Generator - TOOL · SECURITY
  6. Word Counter - TOOL · WRITING
  7. Focus Timer - TOOL · PRODUCTIVITY
  8. QR Code Maker - TOOL · IMAGES
  9. Ambient Noise Mixer - TOOL · AUDIO
  10. Time Zone Planner - TOOL · PLANNING
  11. Invoice Maker - TOOL · WORK
  12. Signature Maker - TOOL · DOCUMENTS
  13. Screen Recorder - TOOL · VIDEO

So the first sixteen cards run app, app, app, Studio, app, Studio, app, Studio, and the last thirteen are all tools. Every card carries a category label in that shape, a one-line description, and an "Open" button.

Above the grid the header carries five links into app routes - the two live apps and three tools - and the /voting page carries the same five.

The same 29 in the structured data

The home page's JSON-LD carries two ItemList nodes:

  • "OnePassApps apps" - 22 entries, positions 1 to 22
  • "OnePassApps browser-local Studios" - 7 entries, positions 1 to 7

The apps list names each app with its display label and its URL: position 1 is NewsFlow pointing at /apps/newsflow, position 2 MovieMatcherAI at /apps/movie-tracker, position 3 PDF Organiser at /apps/paperkit, position 4 CV Builder at /apps/cv-builder, and it runs on to position 22, Screen Recorder at /apps/screen-recorder. The studios list runs Image Studio, Audio Studio, File Studio, Text Studio, Data Studio, Icon Studio, Colour Studio, positions 1 to 7.

The numbers line up with the filter chips: 22 apps is 2 live apps plus 20 tools, and 22 + 7 = 29 is what the "All 29" chip says.

Two orders, one set

Here is the part I did not expect. Take the app names from the structured data and the app names from the grid, in order:

  • Structured data: NewsFlow, MovieMatcherAI, PDF Organiser, CV Builder, Email Signature Builder, Chart Maker, Subtitle Workbench, Browser Teleprompter, Screen & Cinema Planner, Label & Card Maker, Social Preview Designer, Citation Formatter, Calendar Maker, Password Generator, Word Counter, Focus Timer, QR Code Maker, Ambient Noise Mixer, Time Zone Planner, Invoice Maker, Signature Maker, Screen Recorder.
  • Grid, with the seven Studios taken out: MovieMatcherAI, NewsFlow, PDF Organiser, CV Builder, Email Signature Builder, Chart Maker, Subtitle Workbench, Browser Teleprompter, Screen & Cinema Planner, Label & Card Maker, Social Preview Designer, Citation Formatter, Calendar Maker, Password Generator, Word Counter, Focus Timer, QR Code Maker, Ambient Noise Mixer, Time Zone Planner, Invoice Maker, Signature Maker, Screen Recorder.

Same 22 apps, same names spelled the same way, and the same sequence - except the first two trade places. Twenty-one of the twenty-two keep their relative position; the two live apps are the only difference.

The Studios are the bigger split. The grid interleaves them one by one between the tools across the first sixteen cards; the structured data keeps them in a second list of their own, in a single order of seven. So the page and the metadata are not two copies of one list - they are two orderings of the same 29 things, and neither is a copy of the other.

Which one is "right" is a question about how you want the two to read. The page does not say, and from the outside there is no way to tell which order was written first.

The guides index names things differently

The guides index carries one ItemList named "OnePassApps app guides" with 22 entries, one per guide, and its names are guide titles rather than app names. Position 1 is "How to read briefs and listen with NewsFlow" for /guides/newsflow, position 2 is "How to track movies and TV in a private watchlist" for /guides/movie-tracker, and the last two are "How to draw a signature and export a transparent PNG or SVG" for /guides/signature-maker and "How to record your screen in the browser" for /guides/screen-recorder.

Where the home page calls the same two things NewsFlow and MovieMatcherAI, the guides index calls them by what the guide is for. Same layer of the same site, same position numbers, a different naming convention.

Five things the JSON-LD never mentions

The home page also carries a band of five ideas you can vote on, and it sits inside the grid - between the Image Studio card and the CV Builder card. It reads "5 ideas", "IDEA DECK · FEATURED ReadAloud", "Five ideas in the running. Your vote shapes what we build. Join the vote".

The /voting page lists the same five, with a description each and a vote counter. The sort line reads "TIED AT 0 VOTES · IN THE ORDER ADDED", the heading is "Ideas in the running", and under it the page says "Updates every 30 seconds" and "5 ideas":

  • ReadAloud - "A dedicated app for listening to supplied text with clear playback and reading controls."
  • SubRadar - "Track recurring subscriptions in one place, spot overlapping AI tools, and get clear suggestions about what to cancel or keep."
  • DumpList - "Turn a quick voice dump into structured tasks, due dates, and optional calendar blocks."
  • NoteQuiz - "Turn a photo, handwritten page, or PDF into flashcards, a ten-question quiz, and a recap of what you keep missing."
  • FiveMin - "Pick topics and creators, then get a concise daily briefing written in your tone and ready to play as audio."

Signed out, every one of the five showed "0 Vote", and the page offered "Sign in to vote", "Request an app" and "Have an idea? Suggest an app idea."

None of the five is in any structured-data list on either page. The home page's JSON-LD names 29 things - 22 apps and 7 Studios - and not one idea. The /voting page's JSON-LD has no ItemList at all: its graph holds four top-level nodes, Organization, WebSite, WebPage and BreadcrumbList, with no WebApplication node and no ItemList anywhere in it.

The ideas are in the rendered markup and in the voting API the page calls. They are in the JSON-LD of neither page.

What changed since we last measured this

We have measured this layer before, when it was much smaller. On 4 November our post on the sitemap read the same JSON-LD at a point where the home page's "OnePassApps apps" ItemList named NewsFlow and MovieMatcherAI, and the guides index named two guides - The OnePassApps Sitemap and robots.txt: 16 Public URLs, Every Canonical, and the JSON-LD Behind Them. On 3 November we wrote about the counters on the same page - One Membership, Nine Apps: What the OnePassApps Home Page Actually Counts.

Those two lists now hold 22 entries each. The shape barely changed - the same ItemList nodes, the same position numbers, the same URL field - there are just twenty more apps and twenty more guides inside it. And the grid grew from nine cards to 29 over the same stretch.

What I did not measure

  • One build, one signed-out browser session, 7 November 2026, for the home page and the vote page. The guides index was read over plain HTTPS without a browser.
  • The "All 9" figures above are our own 5 November reading of the same page, not a re-read today.
  • Every count is a snapshot of what the page printed today. The site grows, and the counters will move again.
  • The JSON-LD was parsed from the HTML the server returned. I did not check whether the order changes for a different user agent or a crawler, and I have not seen how any search engine renders it.
  • All five ideas showed "0 Vote" while I was signed out. I did not sign in, vote, or suggest an idea.
  • I compared the two orders by name. The 22 labels in the structured data and the 22 app labels on the page are spelled the same way, and the studio names match too.

The home page, if you want to count for yourself:

The app guides, which spell out what each app needs:

I work on OnePassApps, so this is our own home page and our own markup, measured today rather than described from memory.
