Why I Changed the Name from BizTracker to BizKhata — A New Chapter Begins 🚀

Hey Devs 👋

I’m Prasoon, a 16-year-old developer and the solo founder behind what started as BizTracker — a simple SaaS project to help small businesses track their activities.

Today, I want to share why I changed the name from BizTracker to BizKhata, what’s next for the project, and how we’re collaborating with another awesome startup to take things to the next level.

🧠 Why the Name Change?

When I launched BizTracker, the name made sense. It was short, descriptive, and felt right at the time.

But over time, I realized a few things:

• The name “BizTracker” is used by a lot of tools already.
• It didn’t reflect the Indian identity I wanted for the platform.

So I rebranded it to BizKhata — a name that speaks more to its roots.

What Does “BizKhata” Mean?

In Hindi, “Khata” means a ledger — the traditional notebook used by Indian shopkeepers to track daily sales, customer entries, and credits.

So, BizKhata = Track Your Biz, The Indian Way 🇮🇳

It’s not just a name change — it’s a shift in vision and culture.

🤝 Collaborating with AquaScript

I’m super excited to announce that we’ve started collaborating with AquaScript, a startup that provides Fake APIs for developers — perfect for prototyping, testing, and building demos.

AquaScript is helping us design a brand new landing page for BizKhata — with a fresh, modern look to reflect the new brand.

I’m really grateful for their contribution to this project. This is just the beginning of more collaboration to come.
