A while back I came across bangalorestartupmap.com - it shows Bangalore startups on a map and I really liked that way of looking at data. Just seeing where everything is.
Last week I had vibe coded Shopalyzer - a free Chrome extension where you open any Shopify store and see its theme, the apps it runs, bestsellers and prices. Every store that gets inspected gets published nightly into a public directory on the site.
But the directory was just a list. And looking at the startup map I thought - these stores are sitting all over the world, seeing them on a map would be way nicer. So I added maps to Shopalyzer. Now you open the site and there's a globe full of stores, and this is by far my favorite thing on the website.
Click any store and you get the full report - theme, apps, bestsellers with prices, what's sold out. The directory grows every night as people use the extension.
If you want the longer backstory on the tool itself I wrote it up here on Medium.
And the extension is free on the Chrome Web Store.
Happy to answer anything about how the detection or the directory works.
