I'm an Atom fanatic even though it consumes a lot of RAM π. So what's your favorite Atom theme?
I used atom-material-ui previously.
I'm currently using GitHub light.

I use Dracura.
They have a theme for all the things. Alfred, iTerm, and Ulysses. That was one reason I wasn't switching from Wes Bos's Cobalt2 theme.
I love the Cobalt but at the same time, it's always a toss-up between that and the Dracula theme.
I use Nord for just about everything.
An editor theme consumes a lot of RAM? That seems troubling.
I think he meant Atom consumes a lot of RAM. Although you got me thinking...
It's Atom!!
I use Visual Studio Code with the Material theme
I use the Material Palenight Theme marketplace.visualstudio.com/items...
Please note that Material Palenight Theme is a cloned version of the Original Material Theme for VSC. Consider to use the original one that is supported, not bugged, that provide more features like custom file icons, other variants (default, darker, lighter) and accents colors.
Would love to see an Atom version :D
I use VSCode and created my own theme, Plastic. You can find it here: plastic.wstone.io/
Itβs loosely based on Atomβs One Dark theme, a little darker, with a simpler colour configuration.
Not sure if it's my favorite, but I used Solarized Dark for a long time. Currently using One Dark theme on VS Code and my terminal (iTerm2). Both themes are available on Atom and for VS Code (and probably Sublime).
I love Solarized Dark. It is also nice how many tools support it. I like a consistent look accross editors, terminals, etc.
I prefer dark themes, so
Atom: Seti-UI and Seti-syntax
I like it so much it almost made me skip switching to VS Code, but I switched anyway.
VS Code: Electron
Try vsc-material-theme ;)
that's also a good one :)
Oooooh, we clearly have similar taste!
I tend to change it up from time to time. My editor of choice is VS Code and I'm currently using Wes Bos's Cobalt2 Theme.
The theme I was using before this one was Dracula .
I use the Material Theme in Sublime! (It might be available in Atom as well.)
Looks pretty nice in my opinion:
I've been using Brogrammer for the longest time. First on Sublime, now with VSCode. Never seen it mentioned anywhere, but I can't use any other theme anymore... The colors are just perfect for me.
mhhh.....nice question...for example I tried to use atom 1 years ago, but it consumes a lot of RAM. Then I discovered VSCode and today I use it for scripting and data scientist...I think my theme is "Nightingale"
I was using Material theme and Hacker Font for Atom. But then I discovered VSC, so I switched. And discovered ligatures, and switched to Fira Code. And discovered Nova (trevordmiller.com/projects/nova)
I'm all about the dark themes. Monokai, Darcula, Blackboard. Currently really enjoying Blackboard.
I won't lie, I really dislike Solarized.
Have you tried Material Theme for vsc?
Ooooh, no, but I just downloaded it and love it!
When I used Atom I really loved ariake dark for syntax and material for ui.
I use the nord-theme for just about everything.
cobalt 2
I prefer to use easy on eyes theme so go for solarized dark/light
I'm rolling with
obsidian
in Vim. Works pretty good, especially for Python developmentAtom Material (UI), Atom Material Dark (Syntax), FiraCode (Font).
thepracticaldev.s3.amazonaws.com/i...
That looks awesome. Could share the links please. Thanks.
Well, I customized some stuff. Like the scroll bar. Don't remember were I got the file icons from but I'm sure its an atom package. But here are the main packages:
UI
Syntax
For the font you can just download it here: FiraCode
Monokai ftw. (currently on VS Code). The first time I tried VS Code it didn't have a proper Monokai theme so I called it quits. I've tried loads of different themes but I always come back to Monokai
I like monokai a lot, but i keep changing theme. It depends on my environment.
I really like the City Lights suite from Yummygum! It can improve in a couple areas but they aren't significant issues. They have it for both Atom and VS Code too!
Looks similar to Nova (trevordmiller.com/projects/nova). But font colors are a bit more bright. Looks nice. I'm going to try it out. Shame there ain't a VSC icon pack.
Update: Double shame the author hasn't publish that theme to the VSC extension store. I don't like filling my computer with git repos all over the place and having to check for updates manually.
Visual Studio Code + Material Theme for the win.
I use trevordmiller.com/projects/nova for everything.
Discovered Nova a month ago. Now I use it in everything.
DejaVu Sans Mono
I use Dracula everywhere
All about monokai, and luckily almost every IDE has it baked in.
I am using ayu-dark for vim. Works great, is very beautiful and elegant.
gruvbox for me is cool and convenient enough.
I use onedark (atom theme) and solirized light on my Neovim.
That's how it looks
For UI, I really like Atom Dark. For syntax, I LOOOOVE Spring Dark!
