Continuing on the hive-index development, I'd like to share an exciting update.
Previously hive-index let you see the total number of different operations and custom json operations on the Hive blockchain. But that didn't show the full story. While the number itself provides useful information, it doesn't tell anything about the dynamics. Some operations might have high numbers because historically they were popular long time ago, but aren't any longer. At the same time other operations might have lower total number of operations, but quickly catching up.
And this is exactly what's happening in the top two custom json operations. sm_market_rent is #1 top custom json operation, but it has very low activity in the last 30 days. ssc-mainnet-hive on the other hand is very common and it's catching up quickly.
The other two operations that get a lot of attention are pp_podcast_update and sm_sps.
