I Built NetWorthCurve.com: A Free Personal Finance Platform to Help Anyone Track and Grow Their Wealth

As developers, we often build projects because we scratch our own itch.

For me, that itch wasn't another to-do app or weather dashboardโ€”it was personal finance.

I realized that while there are countless calculators online, very few combine wealth tracking, investment planning, and financial forecasting into one simple platform.

So I decided to build NetWorthCurve.

Why I Built It

I've always been fascinated by one simple question:

"Am I actually becoming wealthier, or does it just feel that way?"

Income alone doesn't answer that.

Expenses don't answer that.

Even investments don't tell the complete story.

Your net worth does.

That idea became the foundation of NetWorthCurve.

My Background

I'm an Electronics & Communication Engineering graduate.

My career has been focused on cybersecurity, where I work as a SOC Analyst.

Working in cybersecurity taught me the importance of building reliable and trustworthy software.

Building NetWorthCurve allowed me to combine that mindset into something people could genuinely use.

What NetWorthCurve Can Do

Today, the platform includes several free financial tools:

๐Ÿ“Š Net Worth Calculator
๐Ÿ“„ Personal Balance Sheet Generator
๐Ÿ“ˆ Compound Interest Calculator
๐Ÿ”ฎ 10-Year Compound Interest Forecast
๐Ÿ’ฐ Simple Interest Calculator
๐Ÿ’ผ Investment Calculator
๐Ÿฆ Loan Calculator
๐ŸŒ Support for 180+ global currencies

Instead of jumping between multiple websites, I wanted to bring essential financial planning tools together in one place. Whether you're tracking your current net worth, generating a personal balance sheet, estimating loan costs, or forecasting how your investments could grow over the next decade through compound interest, NetWorthCurve is designed to make financial planning simple, accessible, and free.

Challenges While Building

Like most side projects, the coding wasn't the hardest part.

The real challenges were:

Designing a clean and intuitive interface
Making calculations accurate and reliable
Supporting users from different countries
Optimizing performance across devices
Learning SEO
Growing traffic without a marketing budget
Continuously improving based on user feedback

Building the product is only the first step.

Getting people to discover it is an entirely different challenge.

Lessons I've Learned
This project has taught me that software isn't just about writing code.

It's about solving real problems.

It's about listening to users.

It's about improving one small detail every single day.

And perhaps most importantly, it's about staying consistent even when growth is slow.

I'd Love Your Feedback

If you're a developer, finance enthusiast, or someone interested in personal wealth management, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

What feature would you add?

What would make this platform even more useful?

You can try it here:
